📋 Program Hakkında

The bachelor's degree program in Geophysics at KIT teaches geophysics as a predominantly physical discipline with close links to the neighboring geosciences. Students receive a sound basic education in physics, providing a solid foundation in experimental and theoretical physics as well as in mathematics, programming and computer use. As they progress, students choose a specialization from areas such as geosciences, geodesy, geoinformatics or engineering and hydrogeology. The program includes practice-oriented modules and exercises in the laboratory and field, helping students acquire key skills such as teamwork, presentation techniques, scientific writing and the confident use of scientific software and measurement technology. The program consists of 180 ECTS credits and includes subjects like Geophysics and Earth Sciences (52 CP), Experimental and Theoretical Physics (47 CP), Programming (6 CP), Mathematics (24 CP), a specialization (12 CP), compulsory electives (13 CP), interdisciplinary qualifications (6 CP), a professional internship (8 CP), and a bachelor's thesis (12 CP).
