📋 Program Hakkında

The Nautical Science and Maritime Transport program is designed for students interested in commanding sea vessels. Students should have an aptitude and interest in both technology and management, as well as an interest in working with colleagues from different cultural backgrounds. The program includes nautical subjects as well as natural sciences, legal, and business management components. It leads to both the qualification certificate as a watch officer and the academic degree Bachelor of Science. The Captain's certificate is later acquired based on professional experience without further examination. The program features practical training on the training sailing ship "Großherzogin Elisabeth" and includes two practical semesters on board commercial vessels. Students also choose one of three specialization areas: Maritime Technology, Economics/Law, or Pilotage/Traffic Safety.
