📋 Program Hakkında

The Time-based Media program encompasses the fundamentals and traditional aspects of moving images (film, video, sound) with a dedicated focus on contemporary media technological developments such as Virtual Reality, Generative Media, and Artificial Intelligence. The program is interdisciplinary and open to students of fine arts and design areas. It can be studied as a complementary subject, in cooperation with other disciplines, or as a main focus. The program explores past, present, and future time-based media practices and processes through research, workshops, projects, excursions, festivals, and exhibitions. Students experiment with analog and digital techniques and formats including video, film, sound, VR, AR, as well as sensory, interactive, and generative media. The program examines the role of technologies in shaping our realities and seeks ways to break free from standardization and system dominance. The focus is on individual (or collective) work in the form of experimental films and media projects, encouraging students to develop their own artistic expressions and research fields while critically reflecting on their work within a sociocultural context.
