The recently established field of Transformation Design (TD) sets out to ask for the role of design in transformation processes and find out about the shaping of future qualities. The program focuses on how designers can contribute to future transformations of society, addressing megatrends such as technological innovation, globalization, migration, and demographic change. The program explores how Transformation Design can create and advertise new values for future civilization, build on the concept of 'matters of concern', differentiate from Design Thinking or Change Management, and establish itself as an academic field.
