In the artistic bachelor's degree program in solo organ, students can expect, in addition to the individual lessons of 90 minutes per week, a rich offering in areas such as registration practice, historical organ, organ excursion, organ seminar, organ lore, organ improvisation, and even the art harmonium. In addition, pedagogical as well as organ-building skills are taught. In addition, a combination with other courses of study is possible. Graduates of the bachelor's programme in 'Organ Artistic' can sightread well, can realize figured bass well, have precise knowledge of Baroque and Romantic performance practice, are open to modern playing techniques, and are able to lead ensembles. They are proficient in various keyboard instruments, including the modern piano and historical instruments such as the harpsichord, clavichord, harmonium, and regal. The program emphasizes improvisation skills and allows students to begin specializing in areas such as concert performance, basso-continuo performance in Early Music ensembles, New Music, or improvisation in specific styles including jazz/pop or silent film music.
