Computer scientists are the problem-solvers responsible for creating and mastering all kinds of digital systems. This programme equips students with a broad foundation of knowledge in the core subjects of applied, technical and theoretical computer science, such as programming, software engineering and computing technology. The foundation course (1st and 2nd semester) covers core principles and processes that form the basis of computer science. The advanced course (semesters 3 to 7) teaches relevant advanced subjects including computer networks, operating systems, databases, distributed systems, and internet and web technologies, with a key focus on software engineering. The programme includes a practical semester (5th semester) for applying knowledge in a company outside the university. Students can choose from data processing projects and specialist compulsory elective subjects to tailor the course to individual interests.
