The Master's program 'Social Work: Youth in Theory and Practice' (part-time) focuses on social work with and for young people. It addresses societal changes affecting youth, such as changes in the working world, unemployment, poverty, disintegrating socialization environments, pluralized living situations, individualized lifestyles, and migration. The program offers specialization in youth-related topics and prepares students for qualified professional and leadership positions. This research-oriented part-time program spreads the content of four semesters over six semesters, with classes primarily on Mondays and occasionally on another weekday. The curriculum includes social work science, developmental psychology, youth welfare, leadership concepts, impact orientation, methods, practical research, and a project. Students complete their own research project in the fourth and fifth semesters, which can prepare them for their master's thesis.
