📋 Program Hakkında

IWU students can participate in the following English-taught seminar, which is offered by experts from the respective departments at the University of Kassel: German History, Literature and Art from Goethe to the Weimar Republic (45 contact hours, 5 ECTS credits) In this seminar, students take a closer look at the "Age of Goethe", the end of the 19th century (Nietzsche), and the revolutionary art movement (Bauhaus and Expressionism). Through excursions and group activities, students explore how contemporary German culture has been shaped by historical developments over the past 200 years. German Language Course (30 contact hours, 3 ECTS credits) In addition to the academic seminars in the respective disciplines, all students attend intensive German language courses. These courses are offered at three different levels (from beginning to advanced levels). Participants will also have plenty of opportunities to practise their language skills while staying with a host family.

Target group: IWU Kassel invites motivated and qualified students and graduates with an academic background in culture as well as a particular interest in German culture and language to participate in this programme. Language: A minimum level of English B2 is required for the IWU Kassel seminars.
