The Master's degree programme in Web Engineering provides a systematic and quantifiable approach to the design, implementation, and operation of web-based solutions. It not only teaches the necessary knowledge on technologies for web-based and data-centred applications but also enables graduates to deal with fast-moving technology cycles in the context of life-long learning. The main focus of the Master's degree programme in Web Engineering is based on the following subjects: Current trends in web engineering Cloud & web applications Software service engineering Databases Data science and data engineering Model-driven software development Analysis of software designs Data protection Parallel programming Real-time systems Human-computer interaction Next-generation internet Strategic IT management Project management Distributed systems The simulation game provides a start-up experience with a dedicated focus on current industry trends/technologies, e.g. in the context of the Internet of Things (IoT) / Web of Things (WoT), BlockChain / DLT, smart data, cloud systems of leading commercial cloud providers, API development, applying AI, Developing/Prompting with ChatGPT and other AI-services – or in addressing challenges provided by German and European companies.
